As part of its Strategy 2035, the Vetropack Group is focusing, among other things, on expanding new product and service solutions. One example is the thermally toughened lightweight glass bottle Rezon, which, according to a statement, is up to 30 per cent lighter than a conventional returnable bottle and can also withstand significantly more reuse cycles. In Austria, a standard returnable bottle based on this technology is already available to the brewing industry. At Vetropack's Pöchlarn site, Rezon is now being gradually transitioned to large-scale industrial production, making it available to additional markets.

At its Capital Markets Day at the company’s headquarters in Bülach, in the Swiss canton of Zurich, the Group outlined its strategy, backed by medium-term financial targets. This marks the first time Vetropack, which is based in St. Prex in the Swiss canton of Vaud, has set targets extending beyond the current fiscal year. By 2030, revenue is expected to grow at a low single-digit percentage rate above the market average compared with 2025, assuming constant exchange rates. The company is also aiming for a double-digit operating margin and, in the medium term, a double-digit return on operating capital employed.

Vetropack also expects growth from segments such as low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, food products, and premium wines, as well as from export markets. Higher production-capacity utilization, an improved product mix, and automated and digitized processes are expected to boost efficiency. “We turned our focus to the future, carefully analysing industry trends and critically examining our positioning,” said CEO Lukas Burkhardt. Vetropack also plans to increase the proportion of recycled glass used in its production and consolidate measures to reduce emissions and manage resources into a roadmap.

Vetropack manufactures glass packaging for the food and beverage industry in Europe. The Group employs 3,532 people and generated net revenue of 778.9 million Swiss francs in 2025. ce/as
