Circulator Forum seeks to promote cross-border circular economy collaborations

The Circulator Forum 2026 will be taking place November 10-11 at the Kursaal Bern. The event offers attendees the chance to take part in a total of nine Focus Lounges co-curated by specialist partners, in which topical key issues and trends will be discussed. The Focus Lounge “Cross-Border Business & Industrial Symbiosis”, scheduled to take place from 2 to 3:30 pm on November 10, will bring together 25-30 experts and corporate management figures based in Switzerland and more than ten other countries to exchange ideas about new forms of collaboration in circular material processes and to discuss how people can develop the professional skills required in this area.

Julie Harboe, founder of the Nidwalden-based company Harboe Innovations, Nina Meglic, Director of the Slovenian association Act-Si, and Chris Moken, co-founder and president of Circular San Antonio, will host this Focus Lounge. Also involved are the World Circular Economy Forum from Finland, Circular Monday from Sweden, Loop from Denmark, the German organizations Circular Berlin and Cradle2Cradle, the Circular Economy Forum from Austria, the Canadian Circular Innovation Summit and US-based Full Circle Texas, Global Business Inroad (GBI) from India and the Circular Economy Award from Taiwan.

The event seeks to build a deeper understanding of how cross-border collaborations can work on the basis of a practice-oriented approach and case studies, while also providing an opportunity to forge new contacts and partnerships. After a brief welcome, 15 minutes will be set aside for introductory pitches, followed by an hour of open discussion and working groups. At the conclusion of the Focus Lounge, the findings will be summarized and next steps discussed. This overview then serves as the foundation for the second Circulator Forum, which is scheduled to take place in Bern on May 26, 2028. ce/nta
